Elwood had removed his hat and placed it in front of the window, proceeding to punch it with enough FORCE as to break it. Then, placing on his PRIZED fedora, he reached inside, hastily unlocked the door, and then threw the door open.
By the time that the other door was unlocked for Jake and he managed to take a seat, said vehicle was hot wired into life. Then, without a word, they began at ALARMING speed down the road.
Distant sirens were no problem. Both men had done this numerous times.
"Jake, there's someone in the back," Elwood announced as calm as could be, and his brother looked to him.
"There's what?"
"There's someone in the back."
Jake swiveled to peer at the back seats, pausing as he saw the face of a more than likely scared woman. Behind dark sunglasses, amplified by the NIGHT SKY, his hidden eyes scanned her for a moment before he turned back around.
"So there is," He validated Elwood's claim, looking into the rear view mirror now ( not that you'd be able to tell ) , "It's alright, ma'am. We'll let you out after we get to where we need to be."
And, of course, lose the cops.
